Medscheme Namibia donates to orphanages
Medscheme Namibia, the administrator of Namibia Health Plan (NHP) medical aid fund, recently made donations to the Orlindi Orphanage, Foundation Care and Megameno Orphanage.
The donations for all three orphanages took place on 24 and 30 April and included food items such as vegetables, meat and maize, as well as toiletries, colouring books, toys and hand sanitizers.
Medscheme staff members were greeted to songs and smiles from the children on the day. The ages of the children in these orphanages range from 3 months to the eldest at 26 years of age. Most of the children were abandoned or have lived through trauma at the hands of their parents. However, this was not evident on their happy little faces – rather serving as beacons of hope, that no matter how difficult things are, there is always a reason to smile.
