The ease of doing business, quality of roads and infrastructure, political and economic stability, good governance and judiciary independence are some of the factors that play a vital role in attracting potential investors.
Five start-up business personalities and four sales representatives will participate and represent Namibia at the Expo 2020 Dubai, slated to take place between October 2021 and March 2022. Each start-up will spend up to four (4) weeks in Dubai to promote their business, connect with prospective international investors and potentially scale their operations beyond the Namibian borders.
Speaking at the send-off ceremony that took place at the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) on Wednesday, Deputy Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Verna Sinimbo urged the participants to get correct facts and statistics about Namibia.

“Go as informed ambassadors and don't hesitate to call up the right and resourceful people when you are not sure, never mislead anyone with false information. We know that you are going to make us proud and display teamwork second to nowhere in the world,” Sinimbo said.

“She added that it is highly expected that leading companies with state-of-the-art products and a wide range of modern business achievements will be represented at the Expo. “Therefore, you should go learn from them, and innovate on their ideas in a big way and implement it at home when you come back.”
“Come back and change the world, use the expo 2020 Dubai to open opportunities for your businesses, expand on your already existing innovation and allow your start-ups to access the global competitive market,” stated Sinimbo.
“We see our presentation at the Dubai Expo not just as an exhibition but also as a specific proposal for joint venture with other countries. I am certain that in this sense, Namibia will fulfil its purpose to present the various investment opportunities available in the country to potential investors from around the world,” she said.
