The Schmelenville Combined School from Bethanie recently visited Windhoek for a Spring Discovery Camp and were hosted by the Young Achievers Namibia Initiative. During their one week whirlwind tour they also visited the University of Namibia (UNAM). Maltas Club vice-president, mr. Gavin Visser, secretary-general, mr. Lazarus Emvula and coach Muzi Nungu helped the learners with career guidance, as well as a speech monitoring session at an hotel in Windhoek. According to one of the participants, Edmund Jossop, he learned that "there is a greater, bigger world outside Bethanie" and that the possibilities for success in Namibia are endless. And of course that the world looks completely different from the hotel's rooftop!
