Kuberruimte teen wildmisdaad ingespan

Namibiese polisiebeamptes is onlangs in die voorkoming van wildmisdaad deur basiese kubermisdaad-ondersoek­tegnieke opgelei.

Die Amerikaanse Vis- en Wild­lewediens (USFWS) en die VSA se departement van buitelandse sake het ­Namibiese polisiebeamptes onlangs in die hoofstad touwys oor die ­voorkoming van wildmisdaad gemaak.

Volgens 'n nuusverklaring wat die Amerikaanse ambassade uitgereik het, het 17 polisiebeamptes opleiding van drie ­USFWS-kundiges ontvang.

Die doel van die week lange program was om internasionale wetstoepassing te versterk deur ­inligting oor ondersoeke in ­digitale bewyse te deel.

Dit sal wetstoepassers in staat stel om onwettige ­wildsmokkelary wêreldwyd te voorkom.

“Die leerplan voorsien 'n oorsig van verskeie kubermisdaadonderwerpe verwant aan ­wildsmokkelary. Dit fokus op digitale bewyse, misdaadtoneelondersoeke, basiese ­kubermisdaad-ondersoektegnieke en ondersoeke op sosiale media, e-posse en aanlyn markte,” lui die verklaring.

“Kubermisdaad-ondersoektegnieke wat die USFWS in Amerika aanwend om wildsmokkelary te voorkom, is gebruik. Deelnemers het ook die geleentheid gehad om aanlyn bronne en ondersoektegnieke te gebruik wat wildmisdaadondersoeke steun.”

Elke deelnemer het toerusting ontvang wat in kubermisdaad­ondersoeke gebruik word.
