KPS, home to new leaders

During the course of an eventful Thursday, students gathered in the school hall while adhering to social distancing to hear the manifestos of the Learners Representative Council 2021 nominees.

Six Grade 11 nominees and eight Grade 10 nominees presented a powerful, moving and entertaining message to his or her fellow students.

Tension rose, as ballots were cast into the voting box. The decision laid solely with the learners. The results would be out a week later. Even after the votes were cast, the nervous atmosphere remained and clung to the learners, hanging around the nominees, despite their efforts at playing it cool. After a week of nervous waiting, the fresh additions to the LRC team were introduced in front of their new colleagues.

From Grade 11:

Charlize Izaaks, loud and bubbly.

Xavier Bussel, loyal and fair.

Edward Hoebeb, friendly and cheerful.

From Grade 10:

Natasha Mavenjono, kind and helpful.

Anzelle Muzinga, bright and energetic.

Jamie Hango, passionate and determined.

Jazzmo Koetzee, outspoken and intelligent.

We hope they will lead us in a righteous manner. All the best for next year.
