Jewels’ confidence grows

The Desert Jewels of Namibia lost their sixth match 53-44 in the Netball Africa Cup against Malawi yesterday.

The Namibians played very entertaining netball, but couldn’t manage to catch up to the experienced Malawian side.

The Desert Jewels won their opening match of the competition on Tuesday against Botswana.

They did not collect maximum points in two of their fixtures, against Zimbabwe and Uganda.

On Friday they beat Kenya and the following day collected points against Tanzania.

Yesterday, Kenya beat Tanzania. Before going to print, Zimbabwe was scheduled to face Botswana, Uganda had a date with Kenya and Zambia was booked to face South Africa.

The games end tomorrow with South Africa scheduled to play Namibia, Malawi will face Uganda, Kenya and Zambia will play the third and final match.
