It is time
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:
Namibia is probably a country where to people sometimes move for a better life, and to escape the problems of their country. Hopefully they bring with them a spirit of thankfulness and “word of life”.
In our search for safety it is good to find encouragement in God’s Word.
Psalm 46:1 Holy Bible
God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble.
Depending on where our focus lie, will determine how we view events that are happening in the world.
The corona virus that had killed so many people in a short time, can be looked at as being prophesied in the Bible as an “end time sign”: spoken by Lord Jesus
Matthew 24:7 Holy Bible
For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places.
The “perilous times” that we are living in and the continuous disregard of God’s Word in the nations can be summed up in one word: pride.
It was because of pride that Satan was thrown out of heaven.
Isaiah 14:14 -15 Holy Bible
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds.
I will be like the Most High.
Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol. To the lowest depths of the Pit.
It is the sin of pride that causes men to say: "There is nothing that I must do” and “no one tells me what to do.”
However in the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ:
John 3:7 Holy Bible, John 3:3 & 7
Most Assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.
Do not marvel that I said to you. You must be born again.
In Deuteronomy 28 in the Holy Bible we read that there is a blessing in obeying what the Lord God tells us to do, and a curse for disobedience to the Lord. We choose.
Deuteronomy 28:2
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.
Deuteronomy 28:15
But is shall come to pass if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.
Pride is that attitude that causes us to stumble. Our perfect example of humility is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2:8 – 10 Holy Bible
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of those in heaven, and of those on earth and of those under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
It is time to repent of our sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.
Time to make sure our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life. We choose.
Revelation 20:15
And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of five.
God bless you.
