ELIZABETH SHILUAMA WRITES:I would like to publish this letter to Namibian women who are going through divorce or abusive relationships.One of the things that a lot of women have to deal with is the problem of unforgiveness. Some women were abused in a relationship, not knowing how to get rid of that memory. They can't seem to accept that God truly loves us and wants us to be free of whatever is holding us in bondage.Philippians 3:13-14: Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press forward the goal for the prize of the upward care of God in Christ Jesus.To live in the blessing of God you are going to have to forget whatever happened to you in the past. Be it a bad marriage, a bad relationship, abuse or other bad things that happened to you.God wants us to forgive in order that we can walk in freedom. If you don't forgive yourself or others you carry around lots of guilt and resentment and only open doors for bitterness and sickness.I went through a divorce years ago and came to choose to forgive. It's not a feeling, it's a choice. I'm healed today, set free from bitterness and hatred towards my ex. Better to be healed and set free to start a new, fresh relationship in marriage.My husband sued me for divorce when I find out about his affair.Proverbs 20:17: Bread of deceit is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with grave.The divorce rate is getting higher. More broken marriages, more crime. Proverbs said: There is a way that see meth right unto man but the end thereof are the ways of death.To fear God is the beginning of wisdom. More people are trapped in the ways of sin. That brings death. More people become infected with HIV, more road accidents take place because of unrightlessness. The wages of sin is death. Turn back to God, people of Namibia.If we humble our self and pray, God will heal our load and redeem us from destruction. Isiah 1:19: If you be willing and obedient, yea shall eat me good of the land.God said choose life and death, blessing and cursing and we always want to choose curse and death. Husband, go back to your wife (not my husband), you have a covenant relationship. Proverbs 18:22: Who so findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtained favour of the Lord.Be a good example for the future generation. The just man walketh in his integrity, his children are blessed after him. Obedience brings blessing, not only for your children but generations to come.The church must stand up for what is right. Don't fight against God's Holy word and his principal. Everything God created is governed by principal. Fulfilment of purpose requires obeying God's principle.Principle contain these inherent characteristics. Principles are permanent, it never change. Principle work anywhere, in Government and the economy. Principles when violated produce destruction.I want to encourage you, women of Namibia. Be strong and courageous. God will redeem our lives from destruction and will crown us with loving, kindness and tender mercies. God of heaven is righteous and among the righteous there is favour.
