In rectifying the response carried in your esteemed paper on 12 February by Leonard Stephanus (PA), I herewith to distance my person from the phrase “incompetent people”.
I know my humble beginnings and would never say something like that about my people. In fact, my office is engaged in talks with the Directorate to assist the affected group of teachers. I am at the point to upscale the engagement to the level of the Minister and the Executive Director. I believe these hardworking people only need help in order to finish their studies and to become qualified teachers.
I hereby humbly submit to the readership my sincere apologies for the insensitive statement carried in the response authored by my personal assistant.
You remain my people, I am here to help you reach those competencies. The socio-economic development of Hardap Region is my concern.
