Hardap education

LEONARD STEPHANUS, PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE GOVERNOR OF THE HARDAP REGION WRITES:

This is in response to comments on the filling of the position of Education Director for Hardap and the appointment of qualified teachers at the expense of unqualified ones in the Republikein of 10 February 2021.

With respect to the appointment of the Director for Education, this SMS is devoid of any truth because there are standard procedures that have been complied with to the satisfaction of the appointing authority which is the Public Service Commission of Namibia.

With respect to the appointment of qualified teachers at the expense of unqualified ones, we should be thankful that our children in schools are entrusted in the hands and care of qualified teachers who would improve our children's learning.

The governor puts emphasis on quality and standard education for all children in Namibia and shall not sacrifice that for the kids of the Hardap Region by entrusting incompetent people with the teaching of our children.

For any further information about such issues, we respectfully ask you to raise queries with the office of the Governor rather than approaching the media with issues we can solve on our level.
