Harambee: A wake-up call to all Namibians

Geingob's Harambee Prosperity Plan is being lauded by many Namibians as an idea whose time is long overdue or come.Even though there are some doubting Thomases, Namibian leaders, institutions and the private sector must give the Harambee Prosperity Plan the strong legs it deserves to stand on. The Harambee Prosperity Plan, if implemented with seriousness, can help reduce unemployment, hunger, poverty and the wide spread erosion of law and order in our country.Seventy years ago, an American army General George Marshall crafted the famous recovery plan for Europe known in history as the Marshall Plan. General George Marshall's plan changed the face of Europe with the transformation of Europe from its devastation into a global powerhouse.President Geingob's pragmatic Prosperity Plan to unite our Namibian nation is a powerful call to all our people to stand focused behind a plan to move our country away from small and petty issues. The Harambee Prosperity Plan obliges all Namibians to pull together to solidify peace, security, democracy and good governance in return for a piece of foreign investment from the West, especially the Federal Republic of Germany, and the People Republic of China.Namibians, move away from your armchair politics and pettiness. Let us join hands with our President to build a self-sustaining nation.
