Die ministerie van gesondheid en maatskaplike dienste is tans besig met 'n nasionale opname om die voorkoms van TB en die las van dié siekte in die land te bepaal.

Die ministerie versoek inwoners van Academia en Pionierspark van 15 jaar oud en ouer om op die uitkyk te wees vir werknemers van die ministerie wat by die opname ­betrokke is.

Die werknemers sal huise besoek om afsprake met inwoners te maak.

Die afsprake sluit ook gratis ­digitale X-strale van die bors en ­TB-ondersoeke in.

Deelnemers aan die opname kry dus die geleentheid om hulself van hul longgesondheid te vergewis.

Inwoners van dié twee woonbuurte word aangemoedig om aan die opname deel te neem.

­Opnamespanne sal van 15 tot 19 Maart tussen 12:00 en 19:00 in Academia op die hoek van Mandume Ndemufayoweg en Platostraat wees.

In Pionierspark sal hulle tussen 12:00 en 19:00 van 13 tot 19 Maart by die Emmanuel-kerk wees.
