Geen uitstel vir kapteinsverkiesing

Die verkiesing van ‘n nuwe kaptein vir die Rehoboth-Basters sal nie uitgestel word nie.
Stemdag is Saterdag 24 April 2021.
Die waarnemende kaptein, mnr. Cyril Pienaar, het na wat verneem word vanoggend sy besluit hieroor aangekondig.
Dit is onseker of mnr. Rynault van Wyk weens die besluit opnuut as kandidaat gaan onttrek. Hy het van die begin vir meer tyd gepleit. Van Wyk staan teen mnr. Jacky Britz.
Daar is ook praatjies van moontlike hofsake oor die verkiesings, byvoorbeeld om die registrasieperiode te verleng. Die proses duur reeds ses maande.
Mense kan nog tot om 20:00 op Dinsdag 20 April 2021 registreer om aan die verkiesing deel te neem. Navrae kan gerig word aan 081 388 9810 of [email protected].
Mense hoef nie meer te betaal om as kiesers te registreer nie.
