The Namibian Electronic Sports Association (NESA) brings you the biggest gaming event of the year, NamLAN – LAN of the Brave!

NESA keeps serving Namibia’s gaming enthusiasts with flaming experiences – this time the very familiar and ever popular NamLAN will be celebrating a decade of gaming at the University of Namibia main campus in Windhoek.

This three-day live event (30 November to 2 December) offers gamers a chance to outplay and out-think Namibia’s best LAN players for their share of amazing prizes and give-aways.

NESA public relations officer, Timo Lippert, explains: “Namibians have been enjoying this experience since 2008 when the very first NamLAN was hosted in Windhoek. It has become a staple on the Namibian e-Sports calendar ever since.

“With our exciting new sponsors on board and it being the 10th year celebration of the country’s finest gaming event, NESA promises to make this one truly memorable.”

On Thursday 30 November, the one of a kind gaming extravaganza will see players bring their PC gaming rigs (of which PS4 will be provided at the venue) to compete in: Counter Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, FIFA17, Tekken 7, Assetto Corsa for racing fanatics, as well as a Magic the Gathering card-game tournament.

Players are awarded points for their performance in each of the competition titles, with the overall top points scorer being crowned as champion.

This year’s NamLAN is made possible by the dedicated sponsorship support from Monster Energy, Vander Designs, Radio Energy, Cash Converters, Future CC, WestcoSoft and KIA Motors.

An entry fee of N$300 will enable participants to compete for their fair share of fun and give-aways, while competition winners will earn their glory and stake of the prize-pool.
