Forty teams join fundraiser

The Sages Fundraiser at Omeya Golf Club has become a very popular event on the Namibian golfing calendar. The event benefit charities including the Cancer Association, the Save the Rhino Trust and a number of others.Tomorrow forty teams will participate in this two-day event with players coming as far as Walvis Bay. Round 1 will be played at Omeya Golf Club with the second and final round being played at Windhoek Golf & Country Club. The management of the Omeya Golf Club would like thank the Sages for choosing its course a part of this prestigious event. The format was betterball with combined scores on the par 3’s.At the prize-giving, Liz Tashiya of NamibRe said the sponsor was very happy with the partnership so far and that they were looking forward to receiving a more comprehensive proposal for 2017 from the STAG and the WGCC.
