First black Namibian as a federal deputy spokeswoman

Mckie M Namases I grew up with my grandmother, uncles and cousins in Okombahe, a small village 60km from Omaruru. I finished high school at Martin Luther Secondary School, and now I’m doing a volunteer year in Rietberg, Germany. I volunteer in a youth centre: Südtorschule in Rietberg,Germany. I have been doing open youth work for the youth Centre Südtorschule in Rietberg with children at an open cafe area with holiday games. I started on 15 June 2021 and I will be here until 14 June 2022.There are yearly representatives elected to represent the interest of all the volunteers in Germany. One can apply to be volunteer in any field of study, interest or knowledge and upon your successful application, you can become a volunteer. Successful nomination to be elected as a volunteer representative the elections took place from 27 October to 15 November 2021.After having been in Germany for a few weeks, I was elected as the first black Namibian as a federal deputy spokeswoman for the year 2021/2022. An advisory board member for the Federal Voluntary Service is set up at the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth. The Youth Department is what I am part of. The advisory board advises the ministry on issues relating to the Federal Voluntary Service.Now as volunteer elect deputy spokesperson, I belong to the advisory board for the Federal Voluntary Service.
