With regards to earlier posts, As a medical doctor, the only lunacy I see, is from Covidiots.
It’s not a flu. Let’s get that straight. If you believe it’s a flu, then God forbid you getting it, because you’ll be in for a rude awakening.
Doctors wear masks as standard procedure for hours on end, to claim it will make you sick wearing a mask, is lunacy.
If this virus is not controlled, hospitals will fill to 100% Covid only beds in a couple of months. Nothing else. That in itself will mean your 1% that you mention die of Covid will rise to double digits in no time, because the only thing keeping people alive in many cases is getting good medical care. Take that away and the 10%-20% of patients that we see and need some sort of intervention, will most probably not survive or get serious long term medical problems.
I’ve seen colleagues, patients and friends die from this. Despite over 15 years of active frontline medical service, in 3 countries, I’ve never seen flu kill colleagues, friends and patients before. Elderly patients, yes, nothing more.
What needs to be challenged, is ignorance, because if you really believe any government will kill off its economy or people for fun, then I suggest you get some professional counselling.

My 2c - baie ouers en hul kinders het na ander streke gereis met vakansie. Alle streke se COVID getalle het geklim. Dalk kan ouers die 2 weke gebruik om hul kinders te isoleer en so toesien dat hulle gesond aanmeld vir skool. Dit geld ook vir Onderwysers. - Sarika Jonker Engelbrecht
School are being asked or required to do what is not practical, the required distance is not practical given the number of learners that most schools have and physical facilities that we have. Secondly, learners are children, they can not abide by the rules as far as not playing, not sitting on other learners' beds , wearing masks all the time, ect. - Tjinouhona Hengombe
