Even the ambulance can not get through

Adressed to Mr Conrad Mutonga Lutombi, Roads Authority
Dear Sir
I am turning to you re the condition of the D3312 which is the access road for our tourist camp at Nhoma, but is also used by the farmers in the south of the Kavango region bordering the Khaudum National Park and the occasional drill rig with heavy trucks.
The condition of the road is now such that the camp can no longer be reached by a 2x4 vehicle and even 4x4 vehicles get stuck. This is our tourism high season and we still have many tourists arriving in anything from overland buses, mini-buses, small SUVs and rental vehicles that need to get through this twice (arrival and departure).
There is no cell phone reception in the area and it is only a question of time until tourists are stuck there for the night or overturn their vehicle.
We did contact the Grootfontein RA office more than a year ago, but were told that a tender would have to be put out, because they don’t do road maintenance themselves and therefore it will take a long time.
The road is occasionally graded, but it does not solve the problem. We are also taking water out there to try and compact the road, but the next heavy vehicle that comes along, such as those from the drilling companies working in the area, undo the fix.
The main problems are about 22 km from the turnoff from the C44 and 16 km before reaching Nhoma. The road is also breaking up closer to the C44 and Aasvoëlnes village.
We have to drive 22 km to meet people on the road and pull them with our 4x4 backhoe loader. When our backhoe loader had a flat tyre, it took 2 hours to get the over lander’s bus through, towing it with our 4x4 Toyota and putting corrugated iron sheets under the wheels for traction. (See photos attached.) We request that maintenance of the DD3312 is prioritised. It is going to affect our bookings and the community at Nhoma who are depending on our tourist operation. The ambulance from the hospital at Mangetti can also not get through.
I am also circulating this email to the newspapers as a warning to anybody on his way there.
