DStv reduces carbon footprint

DStv has just launched Dish on TV, a new DStv service designed to enhance your television viewing experience. This new innovation is aimed at improving access to DStv programming information, at the simple touch of a button.

Africa, along with the rest of the world, made a pledge to reduce their carbon footprint as required by the UN Environmental Programme called Climate for Change: A Call for African Leaders to Take Action.

Scientific research has shown that Africa will be hardest hit by global climate change due to its dependence on agriculture, especially in the area of deforestation.

Therefore, to support this pledge, MultiChoice Africa has undertaken to reduce its carbon footprint on the continent by discontinuing the Dish Southern Africa magazine and instead utilising new digital technology to provide programming information to subscribers.

The December edition (photo) will be the final Dish Southern Africa. This is one of the many projects designed to aid in the campaign to ?Go Green.? Dish on TV is designed to provide information previously included in the magazine.

This service includes features such as the regular calendars that appeared in the magazine: series and entertainment, sport, youth, documentary and lifestyle, along with HD highlights and the Dish A-Z movie guide and premiere movies.

This and more is available at the push of the ?OK? button on your remote control. For more information, visit www.dstvafrica.com
