Cyclists race around Tony Rust

The next Windhoek Pedal race on Sunday 30 October will be something special. The organisers have secured usage of the Tony Rust race track. One lap measures 2.7 kilometres.

The event will start at 07:00 with the little ones (they do one lap). The next start is at 07:05 for 30 minutes plus 1 lap.

Then 45 minutes plus one lap, before the Elite groups start at 09:00 for one hour of racing plus one lap.

Nedbank will again be there in full force with drinks and wors rolletjies. Enough wood will be provided for those that would like to stay a bit longer afterwards – for a bring and braai!

Please note that if you wish to do a proper warm-up you would have to do that on the Daan Viljoen road, or bring a stationary bike. No warm-up will be allowed while others are racing. There will however be enough time to do at least one lap of warm-up between start groups.

Start 1 at 07:00

Under 12 girls/ under 10 girls/under 8 girls/under 10 boys/fun ride



Start 2 at 07:15 – 30 minutes plus 1 lap.

Grand master men/ under 14 and under 16 girls/under 12 boys/master Women/B-cat men/under 14 boys/master men/veteran women/sub-vet women/B-cat women



Start 3 at 08:00 – 45 minutes plus 1 lap

Veteran men/sub-vet men/under 16 boys/elite ladies/junior ladies



Start 4 at 09:00 – 1 hour plus 1 lap

Elite men/under 23 men/junior men
