Covid-19 in Namibia: Data round up for 5 - 9 June 2020

Current situation with official data by Tuesday 9 June 2020 (showing changes since 4 June 2020)

A total of 41 new possible contacts of positive cases were traced on 7 June.
By yesterday 86 contacts were still being actively monitored.
Average new tests for the last 7 days up to Tuesday stood at 120. A total of 836 new tests were performed over the period. An additional 147 retests were done over these 7 days.
On Sunday a total of 130 people were discharged from quarantine. This is the highest number yet on one day.

PPE AND SWABS
There is still insufficient personal protective equipment (PPE) and swabs for active case search testing in some health districts.

No tests for Covid-19 has been done yet in the districts of Okahao, Okongo, Nyangana and Aranos.
