Country Club’s Pairs players finalised

The Windhoek Golf & Country Club hosted its third and final qualifying competition in the Windhoek Lager International Pairs series last Saturday. A total of 24 teams (48 players) participated in this event – in keeping with the average of just over fifty players attending tournaments at the Country Club since the start of 2018.The result for the Windhoek Lager third and final International Pairs qualifying event was as follows:1 Wessel Louw and Rinus Carstens, 46 points2 Wabomba Singoro and Tangeni Mupupa, 45 points, qualified for International Pairs3 Vilho Hanghome and Bertus Damon, 45 points4 Cilliers Sachse and Charlie Lohmann (both juniors), 44 points5 Ignatius Shilinge and Meriki Shoozi, 43 points6 Natasja Louw and Celonika Robinson, 43 pointsThe players that qualified to represent Windhoek Golf & Country Club at the regional finals are as follows: Theo Saunderson and Gabriel Shikodi; Tega Shiimi ya Shiimi and Leevi Tshoopara; Wessel Louw and Marco Vollgraaff; Ian Wood and Melt van Schoor; Joseph Martin and Bertus Damon.Three nearest-tot-pin prizes were also up for grabs and were won by Gustav Jung, Ian Wood, Wessel Louw and Ignatius Shilinge. Four lucky draw prizes were sponsored by Truck & Cab (Paul Adkins).The club captain Gustav Jung thanked all participants for the support and Windhoek Lager’s sponsorship. • This coming Saturday a club sponsored competition will be hosted.
