Capricorn Group announces new board chairperson

The board of Capricorn Group has announced the appointment of Gerhard Fourie as the Group’s board chairperson. Fourie is a chartered accountant by profession and has served as the lead independent director of Capricorn Group since November 2016.

The new board chairperson took over from Johan Swanepoel whose term ended on 31 December 2021. Swanepoel will remain an independent non-executive director of Capricorn Group and will continue to serve as chairperson of Bank Windhoek Limited. The lead independent director position was filled by Daniel Kali.

The board thanked Swanepoel for his valuable contributions to the Group in the role of group chairperson since his appointment in this role in [email protected]
