By-elections and the challenging of November's election results

FRITZ H DAUSAB WRITES:"The scale at which we do wrong things turned to be a bit on the extreme . . .” - Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, The Herald, 22 November 2019The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) and SWAPO need to answer questions about the influx of workers at Aussenkehr/Komsberg and the beefing up of forces at the Namibia Defense Force (NDF) base in Keetmanshoop. Apparently just in time for by-elections scheduled for 15 January 2020.Where were these workers and soldiers registered previously?The boldness at display, the immoral compass guiding our elites in SWAPO, is to put it mildly a horror movie. Voting is supposed to mean that society have an actual vote, an actual say in how they want to be governed.But in the words of Utoni Nujoma, "Farming is for not the poor". Just as Esau and Shanghala told Namibians fishing quotas is not for the poor.When one examines the national elections of November 2019, one is reminded that African democracies, in many cases governed by former struggle armies is not yet free nor fair. In the majority of cases former liberation fighters refuse to hand over power.“Corrupt people are mentally damaged,” Mogoeng said in the same article. Liberation armies, trained by Cold War dictators like Russia and China only believes in winning at any and all costs, and that is the way they govern. The political elite after independence became so far removed from reality that they are morally corrupt. The increased military presence by the military and police on the streets of Namibia is only in the interest of elite. This is to make sure that the poor does not rise up against poor governance and the unequal distribution of national income.“When a society is sick, one should expect people to take desperate measures, and to fix society, the sickness needs to be properly diagnosed,” Mogoeng also reminded us.Corruption at SWAPO's ECN is manifested through the executive. Examples are turning a blind eye to irregularities and differences in certain "official" election results.The judiciary in Namibia is not free but captured through their appointment. Accordingly, any hope of getting justice through the courts are unlike in South Africa, very dubious.There were always election irregularities since 1989, such as stuffed ballot boxes being found in rivers or ghost votes. Since 2014 there are the Electronic Voting Machines from India, the hacking of the EVM system, the use of GAP computers and subsequent exchanging of data via USB influencing results.Independent presidential candidate Dr Panduleni Itula will not get a fair hearing in the courts, as rampant fraud is being glossed over by the elite to stay in power.The elite corruptors of SWAPO should know that the citizens are aware of their corrupt practices. Smaller parties such as the Landless People's Movement (LPM) received thousands more votes which were stolen by the ECN. We believe Itula received more votes then President Hage Geingob, while Itula's supporters in many cases voted for the LPM in the National Assembly election.Because of the split between Team Harambee and Team SWAPO, Namibia is being caught up in manifestations of the belief that only SWAPO can rule Namibia.I believe citizens are at this juncture in Namibia's history more focused on continued irregularities at the ECN and the blatant misuse of state power by SWAPO than ever before. Through glaring ineptitude SADC and AU election observers also turned a blind eye to citizens' rights.We are watching to see if our courts are free and fair. Not only in Itula's case against the ECN, but also planned court cases by opposition parties which will show hard evidence why election results must either be declared null and void, or votes recounted at all polling stations.
