Motivation to grow the national footprint of WindoMarket and WindoDelivery has become a great focus after receiving great response from the public.
Shigwedha says educating the masses on the convenience and safety of shopping online was a bit tricky. “It is in people’s nature to be sceptical but once those fears were debunked, we have had an influx of orders and retailers signing up and joining the WindoMarket family,” he said.
Short-term goals
The founder of the company says there are many plans in place to extend the company. The biggest aim he mentioned is to grow WindoMarket and WindoDelivery by increasing the consumer traction and reseller sign ups. He further added that the ultimate goal is to make WindoMarket the biggest online shopping platform in the country. “We want our platform to be the first thing on consumers’ minds when they think of purchasing any product. We want to be the answer to all resellers who want to take their products to the masses,” he said.
With great response received from the public, the members of WindoMarket proud to know that they have created a platform that continues to change the lives of the people in Namibia. From the convenience of consumers buying and receiving their products in the comfort of their home, to Namibian sellers who now get to have their products available to hundreds of thousands of people with access to the internet and increasing their sales. Shigwedha describes himself as a workaholic who spends a lot of time on the internet searching for opportunities on how to improve and grow WindoMarket. When he is not doing this, he tries to listen to the demands of customers.
“I know this is not want you want to hear but I am a student of life. I say that because all my biggest achievements were accomplished because of the life lessons I endured and not my qualifications. Starting from a point of having nothing and believing in myself even when the odds were against me and persevering through it all is why I am able to stand here today,” he said.
