Met net agt weke oor voor Kersfees en die jaarlikse vakansie-uittog aanbreek, lyk die moontlikheid al groter dat baie Namibiërs met Jan Tuisbly se kar sal moet ry.
Die pryse van petrol en diesel styg op Woensdag 3 November met onderskeidelik 50 c en 70 c per liter.
Die ministerie van myne en energie sê in 'n verklaring wat Donderdagoggend uitgereik is, die onderverhaling in Oktober was egter veel meer. Dit volg nadat die internasionale olieprys tot sy hoogste vlak sedert 2018 gestyg het.
Die ministerie sê om verbruikers tegemoet te kom, sal die egalisasiefonds vir brandstof, die Nasionale Energiefonds (NEF), nagenoeg N$120 miljoen van die onderverhaling absorbeer.
