BoN update: Recession in 2017
Overall economic growth last year was likely negative, the Bank of Namibia (BoN) says in its latest Economic Outlook Update.
The BoN expects growth of -0.6% for 2017. In December, the BoN still forecast growth of 0.6%. In the beginning of last year, the central bank hoped for 2.9%.
According to the website of the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA), official gross domestic product (GDP) figures for 2017 will be released on 29 March.
