Be careful how you live

Mandy Rittmann
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:

By God’s amazing grace we have entered the year 2021.

The people who have received revelation from the Lord, say this is the year of Psalm 121 which begins with these words (New King James Bible):

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills –

From whence come my help?

Who made heaven and earth?”

It is a psalm of promise and is worth meditating on.

In Namibia we thank our Heavenly Farther for the abundance of rain.

Looking at the nations we are grateful that the inauguration of the new president of the United States of America, President Biden, went well.

The chaos of 6 January 2021, caused by supporters of President Trump left many of us with a feeling of disbelief and anxiety. It was that day that many Christians started to ask the Lord for mercy for the inauguration day in the USA on 20 January 2021.

Thank God our prayers were answered.

I believe what had happened on 6 January came as a result of two things:

Careless speaking by president Trump.

Matthew 12:36-37 (New International Bible): “But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

There was an outflow of racist hatred by his followers.

It cannot be ignored that the racist spirit is causing havoc in the nations.

It cannot be ignored that this evil spirit has infiltrated also the Christian Church.

Regarding this issue the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance Psalm 139:23-24 (New King James Bible):

"Search me o God and know my heart; Try me and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me. And lead me in the way everlasting."

I was saddened that the spiritual leader who said the prayer at the end of Mr. Biden’s inauguration did not pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. With the whole world watching on television, what an opportunity missed!

John 14:13 - "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father."

There is and end-time harvest to come. As precious souls that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for we must use our time wisely in 2021.

Ephesians 5:15-16 (New International Bible): “Be very careful then how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil.”

May God bless all the families of the Nations with goodness and mercy in Jesus Name.

Amen.
