The theme for a workshop this weekend at the Warehouse Theatre is “Working with Media – How to build your Presence”.

“The workshop is aimed at all the performers in the entertainment industry, whether it be musicians, artists, models, comedians, technicians, or poets and will teach them how to promote themselves to the world. It will show artists how to best make them visible to the public and to know when and in which ways they can promote themselves. It is all about creating awareness. Topics up for discussion will be presented by representatives from various media outlets and will inform attendees on the different types of media available such as newspapers, radio and social media. The workshop will also investigate the differences between using traditional media or new media as a promotional tool,” said Conny Pimenta from Warehouse Theatre who organises the event.

“Invited speakers presenting at the workshop are Rukee Kaagunga, entertainment journalist for The Namibian, Christine Hugo, Station Manager at Radio 99fm and Adriano Visagie an actor, radio personality, fashionista and MC. Each one them will have the opportunity to present and teach their various levels of expertise in the fields of industry in which they are operating in,” Pimenta continued.

Entry forms, together with N$50 for registration, are to be handed in at the Warehouse Theatre office, No 48 Tal Street between 9:00 and 18:00 before Friday 31 March 2017. The event is sponsored by Bank Windhoek.
