Bank Windhoek has new payment solution for fuel

Bank Windhoek is extremely excited to introduce GoPay, the Bank's unique mobile payment solution for fuel.

“We have encapsulated innovation and customer centricity in our strategy to ensure we remain relevant and support our next level of growth in this competitive market.

“The GoPay product is an example of our passion and dedication to connect our customers to a positive experience,” said Baronice Hans, Bank Windhoek's Managing Director.

With over 80 fuel merchants signed up countrywide, GoPay will allow Bank Windhoek customers to pay for fuel, using their existing Full Service CellPhone Banking platform.

GoPay offers our customers a variety of benefits, which include allowing you to make cashless and cardless payments to fill up your tank. There's also no need to withdraw cash from an ATM, hence no ATM fees. It is easy, quick and simple to use with any cell phone model and allows for remote payments to fuel merchants. This means that you can pay for someone else's fuel from the comfort of your home.

“At Bank Windhoek, we believe in providing our customers with innovative, accessible and affordable financial solutions and we are proud to introduce our latest offering, the GoPay fuel payment solution,” Hans said.

Currently fuel merchants either accept cash, credit or debit card transactions for fuel purchases, but with the Bank Windhoek GoPay service you don't need cash or cards.

How to make a GoPay fuel ­payment:

Before you can enjoy this service ensure that you are:

• A Bank Windhoek account holder

• Have Full Access Cellphone Banking

• Have confirmed that the fuel merchant is a participating GoPay merchant.



Step 1

Dial *140*295*(5 digit fuel merchant code) #. Participating fuel merchants pump attendants will display the fuel merchant code on a card in their possession. Alternatively you can visit our website for a complete list of participating fuel merchant codes.



Step 2

Enter your Bank Windhoek CellPhone Banking PIN.



Step 3

Reply to confirm payment to the correct Merchant.



Step 4

Reply with the amount you want to pay.



Step 5

Reply with the pay point number.

Note: This is the pump number.



Step 6

Review the Information on screen and confirm that it is correct.



Step 7

Make sure you receive a transaction receipt with a reference number to validate your payment.
