Die NG kerk op Tsumeb hou op 30 Mei vanaf 09:00 sy jaarlikse basaar en almal is welkom om die dag saam met die gemeente te geniet.
Soos in die verlede word daar verskillende snitte vleis, biltong en droëwors te koop aangebied. Daar is ook weer ’n plaaskombuisstalletjie waar alles wat in die kombuis gemaak word, soos kerriebone en ingelegte vrugte, beskikbaar sal wees. Die varsproduktetafel verkoop weer alles wat tans in seisoen is, soos lemoene, nartjies, suurlemoene en mielies.
Die koek-, koekies- en beskuittafel beloof weer om vir enige soettand voorsiening te maak, terwyl die gewilde veiling van hoofsaaklik slaggoed vir vleiseters ’n hoogtepunt sal wees.
“Die veiling is altyd baie pret en hoewel ons hoofsaaklik slaggoed opveil, is daar ook tuisgemaakte houtkarretjies en veel meer waarop gebie kan word,” sê mnr. Deon van Blerk.
Elke jaar is ’n ander instansie vir die middagete verantwoordelik en vanjaar is Kaffe Blum aan die spits hiervan.
Daar is ook hope vermaak vir die kleingoed gereël, met kompetisies soos kussingslaan, windbuks en skyfskiet waaraan hulle kan deelneem.
Die jaarlikse basaar is die kerk se grootste geldinsamelingsprojek.
