‘n Adjunkdirekteur by die ministerie van landbou, water en bosbou, mnr. Benedictus Freyer, is onder die nege mense wat deur die Teenkorrupsiekommissie (ACC) op klagtes van korrupsie, geldwassery en oortredings van die wet op belasting op toegevoegde waarde vasgetrek is.
Hulle is tussen 1 en 6 Februarie in hegtenis geneem en het in die Windhoek landdroshof verskyn waar hulle op borgtog van tussen N$30 000 en N$80 000 vrygelaat is.
Die inhegtenisnemings spruit uit ‘n ondersoek wat in 2012 begin het.
