11 babas in Tunisië sterf, minister bedank

Die minister van gesondheid van Tunisië het bedank nadat 11 babas skielik binne 24 uur in 'n hospitaal in Tunis, die land se hoofstad, dood is, berig die nuusagentskap TAP.

Abdel-Raoef El-Sjerif het Saterdag bedank. Hy en die vervolgingsgesag het 'n ondersoek na die oorsaak van die babas se dood begin. Daar word vermoed hul dood het met 'n bloedinfeksie te make.

Tunisiërs kla gereeld oor die verslegting van die staat se dienste sedert die vorige staatshoof in 2011 uit die kussings gelig is en 'n demokrasie tot stand gebring is. Die verandering het die land in 'n ekonomiese krisis gedompel. Kritici van die regering sê korrupsie het die oorhand gekry. – Netwerk24/Reuters
