Monique Adams For the past year it has shown that COVID19 had a huge impact on the education system, with learners and teachers not knowing what's next.The pandemic disrupted schools and most experienced the loss of loved ones.At the launch a few learners from the Cosmos high school were in attendance. A grade 11 learner from Cosmos high school as well as a junior council member, Xanophan Lethagojir, said that he is overwhelmed with joy."This means that learners get a platform to bring forward their problems they are facing at school or home. At school grade eight learners will come up to me and complain about just having one Life Skills teacher and with this platform there will be more resources available to learners," Lethagojir said.The founder of the initiative, Anthony Williams Auchab, was excited with the launch of the #BrighterDay initiative as it will help a lot of young people that are going through a lot, emotionally and mentally."We are working towards a brighter day and brighter future," Auchab said.The public relations manager at Standard Bank Namibia said that the partnership with #BrighterDay is a great initiative as it aims to help learners and teachers cross the difficult bridge during these difficult times.The youth are the next leaders so its vital to ensure that they have support and guidance. With #BrighterDay the future truly looks promising to all.
