Slight uptick in vehicle sales
Jo-Maré Duddy – The 694 new vehicles that were sold in Namibia last month were 3.4% more than a year ago.
This is the third positive growth figure on an annual basis witness in the past 12 months, Cirrus Securities commented on the new data released this morning.
New passenger vehicles sold increased both on a monthly and yearly basis. In total, 355 new passenger cars were sold.
New commercial vehicle sales of 339 were reported – a decrease of 8.4% and 10.8% on a monthly and annual basis respectively.
Total new vehicles sales in January was 0.9% lower than those recorded in December 2020.
