You cannot expect only 3 persons to handle a backlog dating back since 1999 for biology/genetics and 1 person for ballistics. Since January, 2 scientists resigned and 1 retired leaving 8 scientists plus the director to address all the cases. – Maryn Swart

An alternative is for Government to sell fishing quotas directly to reputable fishing companies/processors (cutting out any middelmen) to maximize profits, then pooling the proceeds in a special fund where needy/deserving persons/communities can apply. This will ensure better transparency and hopefully create a base for social betterment. – Harald W. Giess
