Boxing promoter Nestor Tobias of MTC Nestor Sunshine Promotions has heaped praise on Readibites for always supporting his boxing stable.

The relationship between Readibites and the academy dates back to 2004 when the academy was in its development stage.

The academy has produced world champions and top-class boxers since 2004 due to the support it has received from corporate Namibia.

Tobias and his stable on Saturday made sure that Readibites feels the appreciation by making a courtesy call on its owner, John Hayes.

Tobias spoke highly of Hayes, who he said has been generous towards his stable for so long.

"We are here today to show this great man our appreciation. He has been supporting this Academy and our boxers for many years since 2004 till today.

“He has a heart of gold and is a great boxing supporter who is still undefeated,” Tobias said.

The event was attended by most of the stable’s top current and former boxers in appreciation of the partnership that the Sunshine Academy has enjoyed for many years with John Hayes.

As a token of appreciation, Hayes received a pair of boxing gloves signed by all the boxers.

“The event was preceded by a delicious lunch with Readibites meat products on the menu.

“We wish him and his family and his business all the success in 2022,” Tobias said.

The boxing stable has its sight set on producing more boxers this year and polishing those that are already in the ranks.

Tobias remains optimistic about the prospects of some of his upcoming boxers.

His aim this year is to continue making sure that he does better than he did last year.
