A shout-out to our teachers
SINORITHA GEISES OF SWAKOPMUND SECONDARY SCHOOL WRITES:
As we have just finished the first week of face-to-face teaching, I'm filled with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude. I am in awe of how wonderful you all are.
As I entered the school building after two months, I was welcomed by warm smiles that relaxed my anxious thoughts.
Today in my Biology class, Mrs. Franz asked all of us how we felt during the quarantine and after returning.
Her powerful words filled my heart with joy and my mind with peace.
In every one of my classes, my teachers all spoke good into my life and those of my fellow grade 12's.
What was once seen as a threat, we are slowly conquering as a family and we are just getting stronger.
As teachers you are obligated to teach but with that, you go out of your way for us and it shows because you treat us not as strangers but as family. Even during the lockdown, you kept working with us and motivated us.
As I write this, I wonder what I did to deserve such care and dedication. I am genuinely grateful for all that you are doing.
From the morning smiles to the cheerful teaching environment that you bring. Thank you for being so supportive and positive. As a unit, you all do you're part to ensure that we as learners are safe and that we finish this last chapter of our school career successfully. Your efforts do not go unnoticed!
You are all champions, the real heroes. I am grateful to be a part of such a loving and caring family.
This too shall pass, as you once told us. We are all victorious and will always be, not due to our own efforts but through the grace of Our Heavenly Father.
Thank you for all that you do.
