She is the founder of ED-Procurement.
Although the business is expanding its market positioning this year, ED-Procurement is not a new entrant. Founded in 2016, the company has been active in Namibia’s public procurement space, focusing on bidder capacity building and organisational capacity development.

From December 2020 to July 2024, she served as procurement manager at the University of Namibia (Unam), where she managed the procurement team and oversaw procurement functions across all 12 campuses.
Her responsibilities included overseeing procurement policy development and review, procurement and budget planning, contract management, supplier performance monitoring and supply chain risk management.
Mungonena also provided procurement advice to the accounting officer and chief executive officer while supporting management budgeting processes.
Before joining Unam, Mungonena worked as a senior contract administrator at Namdeb from January to November 2020.
Her responsibilities included developing contract management plans, monitoring contract performance, managing supplier relationships and identifying commercial, operational and financial risks.
Broad experience
Mungonena’s experience also includes working at Mobile Telecommunications Namibia (MTC) as a procurement officer from January 2015 to January 2019.
During this period, she acted as procurement manager for more than 24 months, supervised procurement staff, managed tender processes and contributed to executive committee and board reporting.
More recently, from August 2024 to August 2026, she served as a lead contract and procurement engineer, including local content, at TotalEnergies EP Namibia.
Her work included overseeing tendering and contracting processes, supporting contract awards, monitoring supplier performance and contributing to local content reporting and supplier development.
Beyond her professional appointments, Mungonena holds several leadership positions. She is listed as a director of Women in Oil, Gas and Energy Namibia and Ballatrix SME Financing Namibia, as well as board chair of I-Care Health Training Institute Namibia.
She has also facilitated public procurement training through a consortium involving the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), Unam and the Namibian Institute of Public Administration and Management (Nipam). She also developed Unam’s course in strategic public and private procurement.
Mungonena holds a master of business administration, an honours degree in logistics and supply chain management, and a degree in the same field. Her additional qualifications include certificates in contract management and contract and commercial law.
