Putting Namibian businesses in the spotlight

Financial services firm Cirrus Capital and The Brief, a Namibian business publication, collaborated to launch the Namibia Top Companies Awards on 14 February. The awards aim to give exposure to Namibia’s business community by recognising and celebrating their outstanding achievements. The awards will be hosted annually to celebrate listed companies, banks, asset managers as well as start-ups. Entities will be selected independently and rigorously per their financial performance, innovation and overall impact on the Namibian economy, with an inclusion of a positive corporate citizen.Happy partnershipThe co-founder of Cirrus Capital Rowland Brown said a number of Namibia’s corporates go unnoticed despite their material positive impact on the country and its people. He thus indicated that he is pleased to assist The Brief in putting these companies in the spotlight, to show them appreciation. “I look forward to a fruitful partnership with this exciting new outlet," he said. Vanessa Wermann, The Brief’s head of marketing and sales also expressed her joy in the collaboration and launching of the awards with what is considered a leading local financial services firm. She said their outlet has now become the go-to source for Namibia's business community. The two companies believe that with these awards, they will not only be able to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Namibian companies, but will in turn perpetuate them to lucrativeness.
