Manufacturing her own future
For Eden Manufacturers Magreth Tsuses, entrepreneurship is about opportunity, impact and building a legacy on her own terms.

At 58, when many people begin thinking about slowing down, Magreth Tsuses continues to dream bigger than ever.

As founder and chief executive of Eden Manufacturers CC, established in 2012, she has spent more than a decade proving that determination, resilience and a clear vision can transform an idea into a thriving business.

Eden Manufacturers CC is a company that helps businesses transform product ideas into finished, high-quality products by providing end-to-end manufacturing services.

Their role is to be a reliable production partner, allowing clients to focus on innovation, marketing, and sales while Eden handles the technical design and manufacturing.

Tsuses’ work has never been about building a company for profit alone; it has been about creating opportunities, inspiring others and demonstrating that success has no age limit.

"My professional career has been driven by determination, resilience and the desire to achieve financial independence," Tsuses told Careers. "I wanted to build a sustainable source of income, create opportunities and become self-reliant while contributing positively to my community."

She added: "Running my own company at this stage of my life allows me to demonstrate to young people that success is achievable regardless of age or circumstances. If I can do it, they can too."

Forging her own path

Choosing entrepreneurship over traditional employment was a deliberate decision.

"I was motivated by a desire to create my own opportunities rather than spend my entire career as an employee," she said. "Entrepreneurship gave me the freedom to pursue my vision and make a meaningful impact."

Her experience leading diverse teams has shaped a leadership style rooted in accountability and collaboration. She believes qualifications alone are not enough, but must be matched by perseverance and discipline.

"My leadership philosophy is centred on accountability, teamwork and shared growth," she said. "I believe in empowering people to take responsibility for their goals while ensuring that success is achieved collectively."

While leadership comes with sacrifices, Tsuses believes resilience is essential.

"Leadership often comes with moments of loneliness, but it also brings great achievements," she said. "Perseverance, resilience and staying committed to your vision are essential qualities for long-term success."

Looking ahead, she says her vision is to expand Eden Manufacturers CC into international markets.

"I want our products to become globally recognised as high-quality Namibian brands."

For aspiring leaders, she believes success starts long before a leadership title is earned.

"Leadership begins long before you hold a leadership title," she said. "It starts with taking responsibility for small things, demonstrating integrity and setting a positive example in everyday life. True leadership is built through consistent actions and accountability."
