Shikulo Pinehas, a Namibian entrepreneur and visual arts graduate from the University of Namibia, is widely recognised for his influential role in Namibia’s creative business scene.

With ventures spanning fashion, music and content creation, he has made a notable impact through his innovative approach to branding and community engagement.

Pinehas founded Gweri Vintage Collection, a fashion brand, in 2018.

What began with a simple line of socks quickly evolved into a nationally celebrated label, gaining popularity for its unique designs and cultural resonance. In 2017, prior to launching Gweri Vintage, Pinehas co-founded Razul, a Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) sparkling beverage offered in two flavours – Demi-Sec and Brut – alongside business partner Luis Munana.

In 2023, Pinehas expanded his entrepreneurial footprint with the launch of Aphrike Studios – a fully Namibian-owned creative hub offering photography, videography, podcast production, commercial content and more.

A creative start

His first steps into entrepreneurship were through music.

As a member of the Namibian Annual Music Award-winning group Ama-Daz-Floor, Pinehas discovered the fundamentals of financial management and marketing. “That’s when the journey started as an entrepreneur,” he reflects. His academic background in advertising has been instrumental in shaping his strategic approach to branding and business development.

Despite facing ongoing financial challenges, Pinehas has consistently maintained momentum through strategic partnerships with major Namibian corporations such as Standard Bank, Coca-Cola, DStv, MTC and many more. His integrity, reliability and consistent delivery have earned him a reputation as a trusted collaborator within the industry.

He is also the founder of the Namibian Content Creator Awards (NAMCCA), a platform established to recognise and support Namibian content creators. “It’s a platform that belongs to the community,” he says, one that offers creators not only visibility but also access to funding and larger opportunities.

With a natural talent for managing multiple interconnected ventures, Pinehas emphasises the importance of structure, consistency and purpose in all he does. His vision extends far beyond personal success. “In the next five years, I want to see myself at an international level... and be known for helping others and contributing to communities.”
