Super League brings back smiles

The three games that took place in the Standard Bank U/19 Super League ensured a beautiful weekend of rugby.Dr Lemmer lost two games in a row before hosting Schoemans Group Windhoek Gymnasium in an intense match. Before the match, Dr Lemmer captain, Edward Drotsky, said: "Our players are showing commitment after the two losses. Training has been good and we are ready for the match. Results and history speak for themselves. You can see the Windhoek Gymnasium team are a really good team."The Windhoek Gymnasium (Lions) team looked strong with a few changes, as captain Janneman Brand started on the bench.The Lions were on top of their game and beat Dr Lemmer 50-7. They now sit at the top of the table, while Dr Lemmer are last in the league."It really just feels nice to be playing again. Now we look forward to our next game," Brand said. In other gamesAfter a week of not playing, Samsung Windhoek High School were back on the field as they hosted PSG Walvis Bay Private High School at the Vegkop stadium. Team captain, Quirione Majiedt, said: "We won our first game and had a week off to just focus on training and preparing for our game with Walvis Bay Private High School."It was a very tight and intense game. Windhoek High School won the game by 3-30.
