Stadio graduates encouraged to continue education
Stadio celebrates successful graduates
On Monday, 25 September, Stadio Namibia awarded its class of 2023 graduates with qualifications of higher learning.
Stadio CEO Chris Vorster says the 2023 graduation ceremony is a significant event that signifies the award of Stadio shares to all our postgraduate students through the Stadio Khulisa Share Scheme.
By obtaining qualifications, students have equipped themselves with the knowledge and skills to enter the workplace, he said, urging them to apply this in the workplace to contribute to the growth of Namibia.
He further urged graduates to continue developing and improving themselves after receiving qualifications.
“We are living in a fast-changing world, and it is expected of all of us to continue improving ourselves and become lifelong learners. So, do that post-graduate qualification. Pursue a master's or doctorate, or just do a skills development programme or a short course, but please do not stop investing in yourself and developing yourself,” said Vorster.
Delivering the keynote address, a Stadio graduate, Dr Kennedy Mabuku, said a person who endeavours to study is forward-thinking.
He commended the students for obtaining their qualifications and said being uneducated would result in remaining behind. “I have no doubt that you have the potential to achieve greatness, to create, innovate and inspire,” he said.
Develop with education
Stadio board chairperson Thabane Maphai said the academic institution holds students and staff at its core.
"We thank graduates for their resilience and commitment. If you believe, as you know doubt do, that learning is a life-long process, then your graduation today is merely the beginning of a long process of expanding the horizons of knowledge and of developing yourselves and our country further,” he said.
