Head girlCleopatra GeingosPeople thought that being head girl would come with a red carpet and a glamorous lifestyle, but in reality, it was much more than that. Being head girl taught me many lessons and achievements that I will carry for the rest of my life, including a powerful combination of leadership, making an impact, and strengthening relationships between learners and teachers. My biggest role as a leader was to ensure that learners followed the rules, though there are some rules I would modernise and review if I had the chance, for instance, the very strict rules regarding learners’ appearance. I believe that rules should guide learners, not suppress them.My biggest support system was my successful LRC group and our LRC mothers. It’s rewarding to know that my voice mattered, made a difference, and had an impact.Head boyAntonio GorasebBefore becoming head boy, I imagined being on top of the world with freedom, but the reality was far more challenging - managing duties, responsibilities, and the expectations of both staff and peers. Through it all, I grew in confidence, learned to lead with purpose, and formed bonds I will cherish forever. I discovered that not everyone will agree with your decisions, and that’s when you know you’re making an impact. Moments of disrespect and self-doubt tested me, but staying calm and remembering why I was chosen kept me going. “What’s life without taking risks?” This quote sums up taking risks “bosvark style” - strong and courageous in everything you do.
