I didn’t earn this badge because the path was easy; I earned it by refusing to let my circumstances define me. Beyoncé’s words remind us: never surrender to the hand life gives you. At our school, each of us carries burdens. But real strength is choosing to rise anyway. Own your journey. Let your courage, consistency, and character speak louder than any obstacle.





Head Girl: Leaticha Jacobs

My name is Leaticha Jacobs, proud head girl of PK de Villiers Secondary School. I believe that I have never needed to be the loudest in the room to make an impact. Leading by example, staying focused, and never losing sight of what truly matters has always been a goal for me. I try to make every step I take with purpose, faith, and a belief in growth through effort. “She believed she could, so she did” is the motto that has motivated me to strive not only as a leader but also academically. My journey at PK de Villiers has taught me the importance of consistency, intention, discipline, and, of course, the embodiment of the school's vision, character first.
