German teacher brings smiles to Khomastura learners

Khomastura High School has been uplifted by an act of kindness by Hansjörg Eichler, a teacher from Germany, who donated school uniforms and other essential items during a recent visit.

The donation included school shoes, shirts, socks, stationery and biscuits, bringing joy to both learners and staff.

Eichler travelled to Namibia to experience the country’s diverse culture, unity and infrastructure. While in Windhoek, they visited Khomastura High School, where they were warmly welcomed by learners and teachers. Deeply moved by the school's hospitality, Eichler decided to give back to the school community through donations.

The girls were provided with sanitary pads, while boys received bars of soap. Teachers were also acknowledged with packets of biscuits as a token of appreciation for their support.

Learners expressed gratitude for the donation.

Amon Timoteus, one of the beneficiaries, proudly shared, “I am so happy that I received a new pair of school shoes and school trousers that I can show off and wear with pride.”

The school community praised Eichler’s generosity, describing the gesture as a true act of kindness.
