Petrofund endorses second summit
Oil and Gas Conference partners with Namibia Youth Energy Forum.
Petrofund has officially endorsed the second edition of the Youth in Oil and Gas Summit, set to take place in Walvis Bay next Thursday and Friday.
On 24 and 25 July, the summit will provide a valuable platform for young Namibians to access essential information to actively participate in and shape the future of the country’s burgeoning petroleum sector. The event will be held at the Walvis Bay Town Hall.
Founder Justina Erastus, who is passionate about enabling youth participation in Namibia’s oil future, has made a number of subsidised entries available to promote inclusivity.
According to spokesperson Shoki Kandjimi, Petrofund recognises the summit as an important platform to engage young people and raise awareness about its academic scholarship programme in oil and gas, as well as the on-the-job training opportunities facilitated in collaboration with strategic partners.
He added that Petrofund is expected to launch its 2026 scholarship programme during the summit.
Africa Energy Week and NAMCOR have also endorsed the summit, which will be presented under the theme: “Drilling into the Future: Empowering Youth in Namibia’s Oil & Gas Revolution.”
