Windhoek opens fuel contract
Companies are being invited to bid for a five-year contract to supply fuel to the City of Windhoek, as a series of public-sector procurement opportunities moves through the tender pipeline.
The Central Procurement Board of Namibia (CPBN) is running the process on behalf of the Municipal Council of Windhoek, which is seeking the supply and delivery of unleaded petrol 95 and low-sulphur diesel with a 50 parts per million specification.
Bids close at 11h00 on 13 October and will be opened five minutes later.
The fuel contract is one of four major bids advertised by the CPBN in recent weeks, covering municipal operations, road infrastructure, security and government technology.
The Windhoek municipality is also seeking guarding and access-control services for two years, with bids closing on 14 October.
The Roads Authority is seeking vehicles on a full-maintenance lease, together with fleet management services, under a five-year contract. Its bid closes on 21 October.
The Namibia Training Authority's tender closed on 2 October. It covers an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for the National Training Fund, including financial and operational functions, as well as implementation, commissioning, support and maintenance over five years.
The tenders range from day-to-day operating requirements such as fuel and security to longer-term arrangements covering vehicle fleets and digital infrastructure.
For the three outstanding bids, companies must obtain a reference number from the CPBN before paying a non-refundable bidding-document fee. The fee is N$1 000 for the fuel and Roads Authority tenders and N$600 for the security tender.
Bidding documents must be collected and submitted at the CPBN's offices in Julius Nyerere Street, Southern Industry, Windhoek. No late submissions will be accepted.
The CPBN's clarification deadline for the Roads Authority tender is 12 October, the only clarification window among the four that remains open.
The board can be contacted on +264 61 447700.
