FNB Namibia has once again been named winner of the Best Banking Experience category at the 2026 Best of Nam Awards, marking the third consecutive year that Namibians have recognised the bank for its customer experience.

The award reflects the trust the bank has built by placing customers at the centre of its operations. Through continued investment in innovation, service excellence and customer-focused banking solutions, FNB Namibia says it remains committed to making banking simpler, more accessible and more relevant to the needs of individuals, families and businesses.

Quinten Potgieter, FNB Namibia's Head of Client Experience, said the recognition reflected the confidence customers continue to place in the bank. “Being recognised as Namibia's Best Banking Experience for the third consecutive year is incredibly humbling because it comes directly from the people we serve. Understanding our customers' needs is no easy feat, and their expectations continue to evolve.

“This award tells us they value not only the products and services we offer, but also the way we show up for them every day. That trust is something we work hard to earn and never take for granted,” he said.

The bank said the award recognises more than banking transactions, reflecting its ongoing investment in digital innovation, customer service, financial inclusion and solutions designed around the everyday needs of customers across Namibia.

From expanding digital banking services to improving financial access and supporting entrepreneurs, FNB Namibia says it remains focused on delivering banking experiences that empower customers while contributing to Namibia's long-term economic growth.

The awards ceremony also highlighted another area of the bank's investment. For the second consecutive year, FNB Namibia sponsored the Education category at the Best of Nam Awards, recognising educators, institutions and initiatives that are helping shape Namibia's future.

Through the FirstRand Namibia Foundation and strategic partnerships, the bank continues to support programmes aimed at improving access to quality education, strengthening learning outcomes and equipping young Namibians with the skills needed to thrive.

Speaking during the presentation of the Education category awards, FNB Namibia's Head of Consumer Banking, Hans Karon, reaffirmed the bank's commitment to investing in education.

“At FNB Namibia, we believe education is one of the most powerful investments any nation can make. An educated nation is better equipped to make informed financial decisions, seize opportunities and contribute meaningfully to economic growth. Financial wellbeing and education go hand in hand.”

FNB Namibia said the Best Banking Experience award, together with its continued investment in education, reflects its belief that long-term success is measured not only by business performance but also by the value created for customers and communities.

The bank says it will continue investing in innovative banking solutions, customer experience and initiatives that contribute to Namibia's social and economic development.
